¿How is J.D Williams born?
The home shopping business provides a well established tradition of offering an extensive range of value for money products and offers via a number of trading titles, through its principal subsidiary J D Williams. Our wide and growing portfolio of catalogue brands is focused on different segments of our customer base targeted by age. The ranges of products offered are principally womenswear, menswear, footwear, household and electrical products.
We regularly contact our customers with specialist brochures aimed at meeting their needs, after recognising their personal preferences and buying patterns. The range of products on offer has increased through the development of our home and leisure lines.
The division has over two million established active customers. The continuing developments in its database management systems enable the business to materially improve its ability to match customers with offers of the right products and services. It also provides a variety of flexible credit plans to enable customers to manage the cost of their purchases more effectively.
¿What services do you offers?
The division operates via a number of channels to market being catalogue, telephone, internet, door-to-door, publications and television. These various channels have been developed over a number of years and are continually enhanced as technology develops through further investment.
For understand, you are a great superstore? With several websites, I say about (www.jdwilliams.co.uk, www.fashionworld.co.uk, www.houseofbath.co.uk etc...) or you are a great association?

¿Do you realize the photos for the catalogues of your advertisers or this is an external enterprise?
We shoot our own photographs for all our catalogues – this is all done in house by the design team.
¿In your marketings plans, do you realice, Some presentations in events, or publish in magazines or another medium?
We advertise online, via press, Direct response TV and local advertising.
¿In your web only can publicize English companies?
No – we recruit affiliates from all over the world – the sites transact in the UK and (in euros) via Ireland however we may be looking at overseas orders also).
¿From any part of the world there can be bought the products that you offers in the web or only in England??
Unfortunately we do not deliver overseas at the moment although this si something we are looking at.
¿The fees for the service is monthly or you charge a percentage for product sold across your web?
We pay a commission of 5% of the sale value for all transactions made from our sites via affiliates.
¿What marketing strategies you use to publicize the web page?
We use PPC, Affiliets and online media partnerships.
About the shipping, with which companies work?
We have a warehouse from where the sold products go out or each stores handles this independently.We have a centralise warehouse from which we despatch goods.
In how much time products arrives to there destiny?
Usually within 5 days.
Do you share an inventory of the sold products and products in stock with your advertisers?
This is something we are looking at – to provide our top affiliate with more service re what is being bought.
How do you handle the theme of the products in stock in order that the people do not buy a product that already does not exist?
If they purchase a product out of stock, we will advise them and then they may decide if they want to cancel their order.
About customer service, the consultations of products in stock, shipping process, etc you realize it or every store gives this information?
This is managed centrally from our Head Office.
What innovations do you have for this year?
For affiliates we are looking at:
Launching a new email service where affiliates can download HTML creative.
Improving our customer ordering process.
Launching more new websites.
Increasing performance of affiliate network.
